The caller seats everyone
Auto-seat fills every party from each player's role preference. You review it, move whoever needs moving, and lock the ones who have to be in a specific party.

Players seat themselves
Everyone ranks the roles they can play. The moment they hit Join, the roster drops them into the best seat still open and the build lands in their DMs.
